The Negative Aspects of Working Long Hours

As it is generally accepted working longer hours has negative effects within the family. Regarding to this matter the parents should be aware of the importance of communication within the members of the family and should control the negative effects of working longer hours for several reasons. The sociologist believes that if we study the reasons of working hard we can overcome with the negative effects of it very soon.

The first reason for controlling such negative effects is that the members of the family do not have enough times to spend with each other, so they do not have positive communication within the family and cannot work together for dealing with the difficulties. In this situation every members of the family follow their own ideas and endanger the unity of the family.

On the other hand, they cannot understand each other because they are far from each other. So they should know this fact that although working longer can solve the economic problems of the family but they never have the chance to exchange ideas and understanding their needs. So gradually they will make a gap among themselves and some other misunderstanding will arise.

The third reason of working outside in a logical way is that they will be tired outside and bored about other things. In this situation they never pay enough attention to other important points of life and they will lose their control over other members of the family especially the children. So the children feel free to do everything that they like and the final result of this condition is disaster.
Finally, the parents will be very anxious and everything is out of their control. Sometimes they even skip the other aspects of life because of working longer hours. So it is strongly recommended by sociologist to be moderate and stand away from extravagance.
