Should a Muslim believe in Dinosaurs?

 

	There are plenty of fossils that shows the existence pre historic animals like Dinosaurs. However they have never been mentioned either in the Holy Quran or in Hadis. They fact that they lived for millions of years before anyone of us were here and not being mentioned in Quran is hard to accept for us. Is it OK to believe in Dinosaurs as a Muslim or we should condemn it as there is no evidence from Quran and hadis, therefore we should not believe in it. In other words, does Islam accepts Dinosaurs as real creatures who existed millions of years ago. It does not hurt our dogma as Muslim?     The fossil of a dinosaur’s eggs
		The Quran explicitly does not mention the existence of dinosaurs .It does not confirm or deny it. In fact, the Quran alludes to the Earth  existing before Mankind See this verse: And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know." [2:30] So perhaps between the creation of Earth and Mankind, there were dinosaurs. It's possible; again, the Quran neither confirms or denies it. In reality, the Quran only mentions a few types of animals/plants by name. It doesn't mean they didn't exist or don't exist.

 

What Islam say about dinosaurs?

Islam agrees with science.

Al-Qur'an, 036.036 (Ya-Seen [Ya-Seen])

“Glory be to Him Who created all the pairs: from what the earth produces and from themselves and from things unknown to them.”Ya-Sin {36:36}
Al-Qur'an, 016.008 (An-Nahl [The Bee])

“… And He creates other things that you do not know.”Nahl {16:8} .The reason people are not finding a verse about dinosaurs could be due to the fact that they haven’t understood the entire Quran. Also, lots of people would just say it’s not there because they haven’t seen it or read the Quran entirely while understanding it 100% to be able to say it does.

The term ‘dinosaur’ is also the modern word of what those creatures were called thousands of years ago. We do not know what those creatures were referred to exactly, but we can only study the Quran further to make that decision, if it indeed exists in the Quran.

Now, that does not prove that there is a verse about dinosaurs in the Quran, but suggests that it may actually exist in the Quran but has not yet been identified.

We do not know what God refers to as ‘dinosaurs’ in the Quran, but we do know that there is a verse that discusses ‘giant creatures/beasts (Dabbah)’ in verse 2:164 from the Holy Quran: “…in the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth…are signs for a people that are wise” These first beasts that were created before mankind are what we call today "dinosaurs".  Then Allah Almighty did mention dinosaurs in the Noble Quran.  While the word "dinosaurs" is a modern word that refers to the gigantic animals that existed perhaps millions of years ago Allah almighty refereed to all created “beasts” as dabbah. A dabbah in Noble Quran consist of all animals, including the dinosaurs.

 

Was Adam 90 feet (60 cubits) tall?

 

1-  Prophet Muhammad's Sayings:

The Noble Quran and Islam are filled with scientific statements and notions.  These are statements of Allah Almighty describing how He created things on earth and in the Universe.  What's most amazing is that all of these scientific statements and notions had been proven to be in perfect agreement with science and our modern-day scientific discoveries.  Allah Almighty made the Noble Quran be Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) Everlasting Divine Miracle and proof for Prophethood. 

Allah Almighty Said: "We will show them Our signs in the Universe and inside their selves, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. (The Noble Quran, 41:53)"

With this said, let us look at what Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said about Prophet Adam, peace be upon him:

Abu Huraira reported :  "Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, created Adam in His own image with His length of sixty cubits, and as He created him He told him to greet that group, and that was a party of angels sitting there. He then went away and said: Peace be upon you! They (the angels) said: May there be peace upon you and the Mercy of Allah, and they made an addition of" Mercy of Allah". So

 

he who would get into Paradise would get in the form of Adam, his length being sixty cubits, then the people who followed him continued to diminish in size up to this day.

Narrated Abu Huraira:  The Prophet said, "Allah created Adam, making him 60 cubits tall. People have been decreasing in stature since Adam's creation. 

:

So people were much bigger in size when man was created and kept on decreasing in size.  The earth was also much smaller when Allah Almighty created it, and then Allah Almighty expanded it. 

The Scientific Discoveries

1)    Life began on earth 3.8 billion years ago!  Earth is close to 4.6 billion years old:

2)    After the earth's crust cooled off, and water began to form, and the moon was created ,life similar to the one we're in today, is estimated

3)    Earth's age is estimated to be close to 4.6 billion years old .

  

Scientists have proved that the smaller the planet that has so much mass in it, the lesser its gravity, and the taller and bigger its creatures will be.  This is why earth, for instance, had gigantic dinosaurs on it.  It's size was smaller, and hence, its gravity was lesser, and hence, the size of the creatures that were living on it were much larger.

 

"Evidence from radiometric  indicates that the Earth is about 4.570 billion years old. The geological of Earth's past has been organized into various units according to events which took place in each period.. For example, the boundary between the Cretaceous period and the Paleogene period is defined by the Cretaceous–Tertiary extinction event, which marked the demise of the dinosaurs and of many marine species. Dinosaurs are estimated to have lived during the ages before the age of Cretaceous. 

 

Low Gravity

Planets with gravities lower than .8 have the following effects on people .Effects like:

·         Increased Strength .

·         Reduced Dexterity (the muscles used to move the body for normal tasks are used to greater resistance.

 

·         Thinner Air (lower gravity can hold a smaller amount of air against a planet.

 

 

·        Increased Height (less weight means elastic  tissue can expand, resulting in a height increase; astronauts in 0 gravity have reported height increases of 1 inch or more.

 

.  Do astronauts get taller in space?

Since   there  is no (or little) gravity  in space the bones of the astronauts are less          squashed together.    The astronauts, therefore, do gain a bit of height                  .                                          Therefore, it should be of no conflict with science to claim that Adam's size, or man's initial size on earth in general, was  90 feet tall, or that the first human-race ever walked on earth was around 90 feet tall, give or take 10 to 20 feet       between the creatures' differences in heights as we today have people as tall as 7 feet and as short as 2 feet tall.  The reason for this is because the planet earth was much smaller than what it is now.

 

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said that Adam, peace be upon him, was around 90 feet tall when he lived on earth.   
The following models show the stages of growth that the earth went through. 

   Scientists have proven that our planet earth, indeed,  all covered with land with shallow of water.  The water that we have today, where water today covers more than 70% of the entire globe, happened after the expansion of the earth -- precisely as Allah Almighty mentioned in the Noble Quran.  Scientists have only recently confirmed it!

 

Other Miracles

1.     The Noble Quran confirms that the earth is rotating around its axle.
  

2.     The Ozone layer is a protective ceiling to earth.
  

o The Ozone layer is able to heal itself from damage - mentioned in the Noble Quran and confirmed by science!

o The Ozone layer is raised to balance air pressure and temperature - mentioned in the Noble Quran and confirmed by science!

 

3.     Mountains prevent the earth from shaking while rotating around its own axle.

  

4.       The 7 layers of earth and iron was sent down from space.

 

In Noble Verse 57:25, Allah Almighty says clearly "We sent down iron...." and He didn't say "We created iron from earth.  "We sent down iron....." clearly states that iron was created outside the earth and was brought down by the Will of Allah Almighty for a purpose, and that is "(material for)  living  of Mankind . 

 

The new scientific discovery had also revealed that the metal iron was not created or formed from earth or earth material at all!  Iron was sent by burning stars traveling through space that had collided with earth !.  When those stars hit with earth and their melted metals cooled down and changed from liquid burned/melted metals to hard solid metals, they formed the metal of what we call today iron.

Surat al-Hadid is the 57th in the Qur’an. The word al- Hadid in Arab language means: iron.

 

5. The breathing cycle during the day on planet earth by the plants, humans and animals - mentioned in the Noble Quran and confirmed by Science!
   6.Water on earth shall vanish - mentioned in the Noble Quran and confirmed by Science!

7.Waves and layers upon waves and layers in the seas. 

8.Water above Fire and Fire above Water layers on earth. 
  9 .The origins of the Universe.

فسيل هاي فراواني وجوددارندكه حيات حيوانات ماقبل تاريخ همچون دايناسورهارانشان مي دهد.هرچندكه درقرآن كريم يااحاديث به وجودآنهااشاره اي نشده است.اين حقيقت داردكه آنهاميليونهاسال قبل ازهريك ازماروي زمين بودند وچون درقرآن به آنهااشاره اي نشده است باورحيات آنهابراي مادشواراست.آيادرست است كه بعنوان يك مسلمان آنان راباوركنيم وياچون هيچ اشاره اي به آنهادرقرآن واحاديث نشده است آنان راردكرده ودراين صورت نبايدآنان راباوركنيم!به عبارت ديگرآيااسلام دايناسورهارابه عنوان مخلوقات واقعي كه ميليونها سال قبل زندگي مي كردندقبول دارد.آيااين موضوع به عقيده ديني مابه عنوان يك مسلمان صدمه مي زند؟

      در قرآن به حيات دايناسورها اشاره اي نشده است و آن را نه ثابت كرده است ونه رد نموده است. در حقيقت قرآن به حيات قبل از بشر بر روي زمين اشاره كرده است.در آيه30 سوره بقره مي خوانيم: وقتي پروردگار به فرشتگان فرمود در حقيقت من در زمين خليفه برگمارم ملائكه گفتند پروردگارا مي خواهيكساني بگماري كه فساد كننددر زمين وخونها بريزند حال آنكه ما خود تورا تسبيح و تقديس مي كنيم خداوند فرمود:من چيزي ميدانم كه شما نمي دانيد. بنابراين شايد بين خلق زمين و نسل انسان دايناسورها حيات داشتند.بعلاوه قرآن كريم اين مطلب را نه ثابت ميكند ونه رد مي نمايد. در واقع قرآن فقط به تعداد كمي از نام حيوانات و گياهان اشاره دارد وبه اين معنا نيست كه دايناسورها درزمين حيات نداشتند يا ندارند

 

نظراسلام درباره دايناسورهاچيست؟

اسلام باعلم هم عقيده است.درسوره ياسين آيه 36مي خوانيم:پاك ومنزه است خدايي كه همه ممكنات عالم راجفت آفريده  چه ازنباتات وچه ازنفوس بشروديگرمخلوقات كه شماازآن آگاه نيستيد.

ويادرسوره نحل آيه 8:اوچيزديگري كه شماهنوزنميدانيدبراي شماخواهدآفريد.دليل اينكه مردم يك آيه درباره دايناسورهادرقرآن كريم نمي يابنداين حقيقت است كه آنان قرآن رابدرستي درك نكرده اند..همچنين عده زيادي ازمردم مي گويند:چون خود آنان دايناسورهارانديده اندپس وجودنداشته اندوياهنگامي كه قرآن راكامل بخوانندوصددرصدآن رابفهمندآنگاه قادرندبگويندكه دايناسورهاوجودداشتند.

دايناسوريك كلمه نوين براي مخلوقاتي بودكه هزاران سال قبل زندگي مي كردند.مادقيقانمي دانيم كه چه اتفاقي براي آن موجودات افتاده ولي بامطالعه بيشتردرقرآن مي توانيم بفهميم كه آياواقعاآنان حيات داشته اند؟

تاكنون ثابت نشده كه آيه اي درباره دايناسورهادرقرآن وجوددارد.اماممكن است موجودباشدولي تاكنون مشخص نشده است

 

مانمي دانيم كه خداچگونه درقرآن به دايناسورهااشاره دارد.ولي مي دانيم كه درسوره بقره درباره موجودات وچهارپايان عظيم الجثه وغول پيكرآيه اي وجوددارد:ودرپراكندن انواع حيوانات درزمين.....درهمه اين امورادله اي واضح برعلم وقدرت آفريننده براي عاقلان وجوددارد.(سوره بقره164)

اولين چهارپاياني كه قبل ازبشرروي زمين خلق شدندهمان جانداراني بودندكه امروزه ماآنان رادايناسورمي ناميم.

بنابراين خداي متعال درقرآن به وجوددايناسورهااشاره فرموده است.درحاليكه كلمه دايناسوريك كلمه جديدي است براي حيوانات غول پيكري كه شايدميليونها سال قبل حيات داشتند.

خداوندمتعال درقرآن به تمامي چهارپايان خلق شده به عنوان" دابه"اشاره دارد."دابه"شامل حيوانات ودايناسورها مي شود.دابه درعربي به معناي  جاندارچهارپاست.

 

آياحضرت آدم 60ذراع(متر27.5)بود؟

حضرت محمد(ص)مي فرمايند:قرآن كريم واسلام سرشارازگفته هاونظرات علمي است.دراين عبارات خداوندمتعال

توضيح مي دهدچگونه موجودات روي زمين وجهان هستي راخلق كرده است.نكته جالب ترآن است كه تمامي گفته ها

ونظريات علمي باعلم وكشفيات نوين علمي امروزمطابقت كامل دارد.

خداوندمتعال قرآن كريم رابرحضرت محمد(ص)نازل فرمودكه آن معجزه جاوداني پيامبرباشدوپيغمبري اوراثابت كند.پروردگارمتعال فرمود:مانشانه هاي خودرادردنياودروجودخودتان برشماروشن مي گردانيم تاظاهروآشكارشودكه حق است.(سوره فصلت آيه 53)

بااين تفسيراجازه دهيدكه به بيانات حضرت محمد(ص)درباره حضرت آدم (ص)نگاهي بيندازيم.

ابوهريره مي گويد:خداوندعظيم آدم رادرشكل خودش بابلندي 60ذراع خلق فرموددرحاليكه اوراخلق مي كردبه اوفرمود:به آن گروه سلام كن  وآن عده گروهي ازفرشتگان بودندكه درآنجاحضورداشتند.پس اوراه افتادوبه آنان فرمود:درودوسلام برشماباد.آنان (فرشتگان)گفتند:درودوسلام ورحمت خداوندبرتوباد.وآنان رحمت خدارادرجواب اضافه نمودند.پس اوبه شكل حضرت آدم كه 60ذراع بلندي داشت واردبهشت شد.بعدازآن ابوهريره روايت مي كند:پيغمبرفرمود:خداوندحضرت آدم رابه بلندي 60ذراع خلق فرمود.بلندي قامت انسان اززمان خلقت حضرت آدم درحال كاهش بوده است .بنابراين اندازه انسانهاهنگامي كه آدم خلق شدخيلي بزرگتربوده است وبعدازآن شروع به كوتاه شدن نمود.همچنين وقتي كه خداي حكيم زمين راخلق كرداندازه آن كوچك بودوبعدازآن پروردگارمتعال آن راگسترش داد.

 

كشفيات علمي

حيات روي زمين در8/3ميلياردسال پيش آغازشده است.سن زمين نزديك به6/4ميلياردسال است.پس ازآنكه پوسته زمين سردگشت وآب درآن بوجودآمدوماه خلق شدزندگي به شكل چيزي كه امروزه داريم شكل گرفت.

سن زمين نزديك به 6/4ميلياردسال تخمين زده مي شود.ودانشمندان ثابت كرده اندكه سياره كوچكي كه داراي جرم وتراكم زيادي است نيروي جاذبه كمتري داردومخلوقاتش بزرگتروبلندترهستند

 

براي همين است كه مثلادرسياره زمين دايناسورهاي غول پيكري زندگي مي كردند.اندازه كره زمين كوچك بود،پس نيروي جاذبه كمتري داشت وجانوراني كه درآن زندگي مي كردندخيلي بزرگتربودند.

مدارك بدست آمده ازتشعشع نگارنشان مي دهدكه زمين درحدود57/4ميلياردسال عمردارد.

مطالعات زمين شناسي ازگذشته زمين ازقسمتهاي متنوع باتوجه به اتفاقاتي كه درهردوره رويداده بدست آمده است.براي مثال مرزبين دودوره كرتاسه ودوره پالئوژن بانابودي دوران سوم كرتاسه كه همراه بامرگ دايناسورهاوموجودات دريايي بوده مشخص شده است ،تخمين زده مي شودكه دايناسورهادرطول سالهايي قبل ازدوران كرتاسه زندگي مي كردند

 

                          

 

 

 

جاذبه كم

سياره هايي بانيروي جاذبه كمتراز8تاثيراتي روي بدن داردكه درادامه آمده است.تاثيراتي چون:

-افزايش نيروي بدني

-كاهش كارآيي بدن(ماهيچه هاباعث حركت بدن براي فعاليت هاي معمولي هستندكه دراين حالت مقاومت ماهيچه هاافزايش مي يابد.)

كاهش غلظت هوا:نيروي جاذبه كم ميزان كمتري ازهوارامجاوريك سياره نگه مي دارد.

افزايش قد:بافت قابل ارتجاع بدن دراثروزن كم افزايش مي يابدودرنتيجه قدبلندترمي شود.فضانورداني كه درمحيط بدون جاذبه قرارداشتندگزارش كردندكه به قدشان از1اينچ وبيشترافزوده شده است.

آيافضانوردان درفضاقدشان بلندترمي شود؟

هنگامي كه جاذبه اي وجودنداردوياميزان جاذبه موجوداندك باشداستخوانهاي فضانوردان كمتربه يكديگرفشرده

مي شوند.وكمي به قدفضانوردان افزوده مي شود.اين موضوع كه اندازه  حضرت آدم ويابطوركلي انسانهاي نخستين روي زمين 90فوت بلندي داشته ويااولين انسانهايي كه تاكنون روي زمين راه رفته اندحدود90فوت بوده اندياحدود10-20فوت بين اندازه موجودات تفاوت وجودداشته باعلم درتناقض است.ماامروز دردنياانسانهايي به بلندي 7فوت(15/2متر)وبه كوتاهي 2فوت (60سانتيمتر)داريم.دليل موجه اين است كه كره زمين درحقيقت خيلي كوچكترازچيزي بوده كه اكنون است.حضرت محمد(ص)فرمودند:حضرت آدم هنگامي كه روي زمين زندگي مي كرد5/27متربلندي داشته است.  

پس ازگسترش زمين آبهاي اقيانوس ها،درياها،درياچه ها،رودخانه هاو.....درروي زمين فراگيرشد.دانشمندان ثابت كرده اند:كه تمام سطح كره زمين درواقع پوشيده ازخشكي وآبهاي كم عمق وسطحي بوده است.

آبهايي كه امروزدركره زمين وجودداردبعدازگسترش كره زمين برآن پديدارشده است70%ازسطح كره زمين رادربرگرفته است ودقيقاهمانطوركه خداوندقادرتوانادرقرآن شريف بيان نموده است ودانشمندان آن رابه تازگي ثابت كرده اند.

 

معجزات ديگر

-قرآن كريم ثابت مي كندكه زمين تخم مرغي شكل است وحول محورخودمي چرخد.

-لايه ازن لايه محافظتي براي زمين است.

-لايه ازن قادراست زمين راازآسيب محفوظ داردكه اين مطلب درقرآن ذكرشده وتوسط علم به اثبات رسيده است.

-لايه ازن فشارهواودماي كره زمين رامتعادل مي كندكه اين موضوع درقرآن آمده وتوسط علم به اثبات رسيده است.

-زماني كه زمين حول محورخودمي چرخدكوههامانع ازتكان خوردن زمين مي شوند

-7لايه زمين وآهن ازفضابه زمين فرستاده شده اند.(ماآهن رافروفرستاديم.ونمي فرمايدكه آهن رااززمين خلق كرديم.-ماآهن رافروفرستاديم بطورواضح بيان مي كندكه آهن خارج ازكره زمين خلق شده وتوسط خدابه منظورخاصي به روي زمين فرستاده شده .سوره حديدآيه25

آهن ماده اي براي زندگي بشراست.همچنين كشف نوين علمي نشان مي دهدكه فلزآهن خلق نشده ياروي زمين شكل نگرفته است .آهن ازسوختن ستاره هايي كه درفضاحركت مي كنندوبابرخوردبه سطح زمين سردشده اندشكل گرفته است .وقتي ستاره هابازمين برخوردمي كنندوموادذوب شده شان سرد مي شودوشكل آنهاازموادمذاب مايع به موادجامدتغييرمي كندبه ماده اي تبديل مي شوندكه امروزه آن راآهن مي ناميم.

سوره حديد57سوره قرآن است وكلمه حديددرزبان عربي به معناي آهن است.

-چرخه تنفسي روزانه توسط گياهان ،انسانهاوحيوانات درزمين ،درقرآن بيان شده وتوسط علم به اثبات رسيده است.

-ناپديدشدن آبهاي زمين :اين موضوع درقرآن ذكرشده وازطريق علمي به اثبات رسيده است.

-امواج ولايه هابرروي امواج ولايه هادردرياها

-لايه هاي آب برآتش وآتش برآب درروي زمين

-مبداجهان هستي

-مدارتخم مرغي شكل زمين-خداي متعال بيان مي فرمايد:شكل مدارزمين دراطراف خورشيدبه شكل تخم مرغ است واين موضوع توسط علم به اثبات رسيده است
